MASH® applications
MASH® technology was developed on the structural basis of wire mesh. The unique and defined deep-structure of MASH® creates materials that are superior in their sound absorption compared to existing options in the marketplace. At the same time MASH® possesses a high stability as well as high flow resistivity. That makes absorber materials with MASH® technology the perfect fit for applications that are optimized for effective sound absorption and minimized pressure drops for high process efficiency; i.e. pipe sound absorbers.

MASH® is used in material specifications that are validated and calculable. MASH® improves the acoustical and fluid-mechanical performance of absorber assemblies. For the derivation of a suitable absorber design the performance of MASH® simulations yields dependable results. This allows efficient and early focus on the right constructive path of the absorber design. We offer our MASH® technology for development and manufacturing of fibre-free sound absorbers for customer-specific applications. For aerial applications we offer MASH® technology “off the coil” or as cut sheets.
Basis of MASH® absorber media is metal mesh with tightly defined specifications. Through the further production steps MASH® media with a unique structure are made. The woven base materials establish a 3D-grid with a homogenous structure across the entire surface. We offer MASH® in aluminium and stainless steel qualities. As sound absorbing medium of metallic material MASH® exhibits the material-specific heat capacity and can also be used for heat absorption. MASH® can be formed into various shapes; i.e. through rolling, bending or drawing a great variety of customer-specific product designs can be made.
